Course Objective: At the end of this course the students analyze sociologically and understand the youth culture.
Course Contents: Definitions of youth. Youth culture. Analysis of youth in historical perspective and in different cultural structures. Youth in contemporary societies. Comparison of problems of youth in Western countries and in Turkey. Sociological theories of youth.
Teaching Method: Lectures. Also each student presents a paper
Assessment Method: Paper (60%), written exams (40%)
